about

After a short break, German Robotmachine Records returns to studio to deliver the third chapter of the mighty series Elektro Süd.
This futurist electrofunk compilation gathers together six amazing tracks from six different artists sharing the same vision of sounds of tomorrow.
The digital pack opens with 808Squad’s robotic “Du Bist Machine”, a mind blowing song straight out of a Terminator movie sequel. The German artist, previously heard on Mars Frequency label, serves up here a heading banger made of intricate vocoder, dark Scifi melodies and machine funk sororities. What an ace debut on RMR! With “My Digital Bass” coming next, CeeOnic (Ground Control, City Beat Records) signs a tribute to old school Electro injecting some of his influences ranging from Debonaire to Egyptian Lover. Subwoofers, nasty 808 and Middle East melodies turn the track into an authentic dancefloor winner!
Robotmachine regular signature Chris Vocoder returns on “Nur Töne” with a fresh yet noir electro cut based upon a slow down rhythm, deep synth programming plus droid vocals. Fascinating and solid at the same, the track will remind of some early works from Depth Charge, definitively not for the fainted hearts.
Dynamik Bass System under his electrofunk moniker Heliopause (Robotmachine Records, Dominance Electricity) follows with sinister “Systems Control”, a soulful masterpiece built around punishing electro beats, vintage synth flights and craftily vocodered sequences of his trademark. A track that takes the label deeper than ever. Supreme.ja (Supremeja Music, Subsonic Device), another familiar RMR figure, presents with groovy “Electric Transfusion” a milestone of a synthetic mayhem where he combines brilliant Blade Runnerish melodies to off the chain robotic vocals. Last but not the least, Thomas Kress (Robotmachine Records, Tropical Underground) ends the opus with “Show Me”, a nasty surrounded by an unhealthy atmosphere.
Overall, ELEKTRO SÜD 03 compilation breathes new life into electro by mixing together old to new school influences, bringing retro-future feelings from soulful to destructive and danceable in an instant. Essential!
Watch this space soon for more fresh and unexpected news from RMR as a mighty album is in the pipeline!
